2003-07-03 - 11:56 p.m. Tonight, I was smart and bought my symphony pencil towards the end of intermission, because, as I had imagined, Bitchy McEvil made a beeline for the symphony's concession stand, just as she had done last year. The fireworks were really good this year. Fireworks make me happy. Listening to the kids scream "Oooooh!" and "Ahhhhhhh!" and "Grand finale! Grand finale!" makes me happy too. But then again, it also makes me sad. Although, it is amusing, to Jenn-of-the-granny-car's great consternation, to use one's symphony pen to air conduct the entire 1812 Overture. Good times. Or not. Werk tomorrow. Afterwards much drinking is in order. Happy Birthday America.
