2002-09-13 - 3:38 p.m. Well, it looks as though that sometime within the next two weeks I'll be a working shmuck again! I was interviewed at Sears by some kind of manager person that told me I looked young to be done with college. And she looked younger than me! Luckily she seemed to sympathize with me about my general distaste for the grocery store (hehe, woops, did I not put their phone number on my application..? ;) ). But I'll get paid less. And there's a dress code! One of the beauties of working in a family business (good God no I'm not related to the store owners! Ewwwwwwww!) is the casual atmosphere. My "uniform" was t-shirt, jeans, and sneakers. Now I'll have to dress like a grownup! Phooey. And did I mention there's a mandatory drug test??? Poppyseed bagel for breakfast anyone? ;) But Sears is NOT the grocery store. That's all that matters. And it's in a mall. A stupid little mall, but a mall nonetheless. With a bookstore and a CD store. So maybe I can deal. :) Well that's been my day so far. My VCR did finally kick the bucket, so I couldn't watch "Moulin Rouge" last night. :( Time for a popsicle, I suppose.
