I need quarters. 2004-09-12 - 3:05 p.m.
Oy vey. Aunt, Uncle, Cousin, Cousin's Husband, and Wee Little Cousins #1 and #2 were in town yesterday, because Wee Little Cousin #1 had a soccer tournament that I was finagled into attending. I hadn't been to a soccer game, well, since I played soccer (in 1992!). HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I suppose I should be embarrassed that these 10 year olds have more athletic ability in their pinky toes than I do in my entire body, but I'm really not.
Good times. Wee Little Cousin #2 has a tendency to talk one's ear off. But that's okay. At Christmastime I would always rather hang out with the "children" than the "grown ups". The kids always seem to have better things to talk about than everything they've eaten that day and/or their current physical and mental ailments. Yep.
Aunt and Uncle seem to think that "we need a Ph.D in the family", namely me. Heh. All I want in life is an orchestra gig. Or maybe one of those honorary doctoral degrees! You don't have to do any work to get one of those! You just have to be really really swell! I'm swell!
Um, anyway. I think my brain/soul/aura/whatever has been eaten away and replaced by the Dvorak Cello Concerto. You know what? That's okay.
