I don't want to be here right now. I don't think so, anyway. 2004-07-06 - 12:36 a.m.
It has been threatening to storm for the past two days. I wish it would just get it over with already. I do love a good thunderstorm. They are best enjoyed by turning out the lights, putting on Beethoven 5, sitting in a comfy chair, and staring out the window. Happy, happy memories...
Anyway, I forgot to mention that while at Very Ukrainian Great Uncle's house yesterday, I found out that my birthday (August 24 of course, start shopping now! :-D) is Ukrainian Independence Day. Yay! Since that day is a Tuesday and a school night, I'll be sure to stay out (up?) very late and drink lots of vodka!
August 18 is the first day of class. I'm not entirely sure when I'll be back at school yet. At any rate, I need to buy some sort of movie-playing utensil (probably a VCR, as I have oodles of tapes and am generally not cool enough for DVDs. When I buy this utensil, I will also buy The Princess Bride, because I really need a copy of that movie that wasn't taped off of TV in 1991.
Do you think I'm looking forward to going back to school or anything???
I just started Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason, for a bit of fluff. After that I might read The Aeneid or Faust, or maybe just The DaVinci Code, so I can stop being the only person who hasn't read that. Yes.
