Booklist and a LOTR survey. 2003-12-31 - 12:37 p.m.
Blech. New Year's Eve. I've said this before, but it becomes a very stupid holiday when one is stuck in Hickville watching one's sister attempt to style her hair a la Captain Jack Sparrow.
Anywho, because I have nothing to say, here are all the books I've read this year (yes, I keep track of these things because I am a dork):
-The Darwin Awards II: Unnatural Selection - Wendy Northcutt
-Watership Down - Richard Adams
-The Tenant of Wildfell Hall - Anne Bronte
-On the Road - Jack Kerouac
-Good Bones and Simple Murders - Margaret Atwood
-High Fidelity - Nick Hornby
-Fight Club - Chuck Palahniuk
-The Picture of Dorian Gray - Oscar Wilde
-Wuthering Heights - Emily Bronte
-About a Boy - Nick Hornby
-Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
-Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
-Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
-Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (J.K. Rowling)
-The Alchemist - Paulo Coelho
-The Bell Jar - Sylvia Plath
-Bridget Jones's Diary - Helen Fielding
-The Perks of Being a Wallflower - Steven Chbosky
-Artemis Fowl: The Arctic Incident - Eoin Colfer
-The Forest People- Colin Turnbull
-The Secret Garden - Frances Hodgson Burnett
-How Musical Is Man? - John Blacking
-Sound and Sentiment - Steven Feld
-Sound of Africa! - Louise Meintjes
-Living History - Hillary Rodham Clinton

Good stuff.
