What I would do if I won 0,000,000 or so. 2003-12-10 - 2:52 p.m.
Yay! Aside from a few flute lessons to teach, I am done done DONE. I was actually pretty well prepared for my Ukrainian folk songs presentation today, aside from the whole "So Sarah, what effect did Soviet collectivization have on the performance of traditional Ukrainian music?" Der. I just told you Stalin rounded up all kinds of kobzari minstrels and shot them? What more do you need to know?
*end talk of Ukrainian folk songs (Aren't you all glad?)*
So anyway, I used Flute Student #1's restaurant gift certificate to take Other Flute Graduate Student and Clarinet Graduate Student out to lunch. It was nice. We discussed what we would buy if we won the lottery. Of course, I will share my intended purchases: :)
-a new flute
-a trip to Paris
-a house by the ocean in Maine, furnished with a baby grand piano
-a scholarship program for flute players named Sarah (although I didn't specify at which institution... hmmm, maybe both undergrad and grad)
-certain obvious improvements to a certain Bumblefuck football venue
-tuition at Princeton for the wee sister - I thought about
Harvard and Yale, but didn't Dubya's daddy buy Junior's way into both of those institutions, for successive degrees?
Ah me. Well, it's naptime now, anyway. Have a splendiferous afternoon everyone! :)
