I'm glad you like throwing knives. Please refrain from throwing them in my general direction. 2003-03-28 - 7:51 p.m.
Ok. So tell me. If these were the first words out of your boss's mouth in the morning, how would you feel:
"I like throwing knives. Yeah, it's my hobby."
Yes. This is slightly disturbing. Manager Girl is apparently more psycho than I thought she is.
Ooooh, but then, barely 45 minutes into the day, the power went off throughout the whole mally-mall! For a few minutes, customers kept milling around, expecting US to do something about it, because they were obviously anxious to buy their granny panties and PANTS and the like. But then they finally realized that there are better things to do in life than shop at Sears, so they left. Yeah. After that we just stood around in the dark for a while. Which was cool. I was starting to get optimistic. But dammit, after about half an hour, the power came back on. I was hoping they'd send us home, because it was absolutely beautiful out.
It's funny how we all get crazed looks on our faces when we ask how the weather is outside and the customer says "absolutely beautiful". Oh, the joys of standing around, inside, in Shoetopia doing nothing on such a beautiful day. And those are hard to come by around here. :-P
Yeah. That was the excitement of my day. "Moulin Rouge" is on. Time to go watch that. Yes. Time to watch "Moulin Rouge". Not basketball. Definitely not basketball. Au revoir, mes petits enfants.
