A Belated Friday Five:
1. What is your favorite type of literature to read (magazine, newspaper, novels, nonfiction, poetry, etc.)?
I'm mostly into whatever kind of fiction novels look interesting. I like a lot of the "classics", especially 19th century English Lit. Brontes Brontes Brontes. :) I've only read the entire "Lord of the Rings" once, but with several dozen more reads, I bet I could easily become a Tolkien psycho too.
Magazines are good too. Like Biography, National Geographic, Entertainment Weekly. But then, of course, nothing beats a good Cosmo or Glamour every once in a while. :)
2. What is your favorite novel?
Argh. I can't pick just one. First of all, I can never decide which out of "Wuthering Heights" and "Jane Eyre" that I like better. Again, the "LoTR" trilogy is pretty damn good. So is the book version of "The Princess Bride". "The Mists of Avalon" and "A Prayer for Owen Meany" are awesome. But I think, maybe, even though it is a children's book, "The Secret Garden" might be my all-time favorite.
3. Do you have a favorite poem? (Share it!)
I have several.

Also, "The Highwayman" by Alfred Noyes. It's really long. But it has one of the best dramatic lines in poetry- "I'll come to thee by moonlight, though hell should bar the way." Damn. Also this, the first poem I ever memorized:

4. What is one thing you've always wanted to read, or wish you had more time to read?
I have always wanted to finish "War and Peace", just to say I did. I kept trying to read that in middle school, because a girl in my sixth grade language arts class said she did. But I'd always get to the war parts and fall asleep. :-P
5. What are you currently reading?
"On the Road" by Jack Kerouac. It seems to me like this is *the* great American novel- "the only people for me are the mad ones, the ones who are mad to live, mad to talk, mad to be saved...." I can't really put into words how good this book is. So I won't.
