Thoughts on a sunny winter's day 2003-01-30 - 6:18 p.m.
Well, I am officially a gigundous geek (especially since I just used the non-word "gigundous"). Today I went to good mall and saw "The Two Towers" for the fourth time. Immediately afterward, I went into the nearest music store and bought the soundtracks to both LOTR movies. It wasn't even Best Buy. It was the expensive store! But anyway,I could have seen "Chicago". Or anything else. But no. I am a geek.
There is something about sunshine on a winter's day. It throws a million little sparkles all over the untouched snow on the ground and it just makes you feel about eight years old again, with that same crazy desire to plop right into the snow and make a snow angel. Of course, then the countryside ends and you're in the city and the sunshine does nothing except make the dirtiness of the dull gray buildings and sidewalks more easily seen. And with Crazy Drunk Guy sitting across from you on the bus, having a loud argument with himself, the sunshine then combines with the frenzied vocalizations to give you a splitting headache.
Well, I need to have some decent flute practice time tonight. Away from the boredom of Hickville, I have yet to have partaken in such a thing. My laziness knows no bounds.
