I'm back. 2004-07-12 - 7:31 p.m.
I have returned to Craptown.
Very Bad Things (or Mildly Mediocre Things
-the mother did not actually meet us in Baltimore, she met us in Richmond
-going to Maryland and not getting any crabcakes!
-not getting any Baltimore postcards (I have a sick, sick addiction to postcards.)
-the mehness of the National Aquarium
-getting sunburnt in strange places
-sitting right behind the guy who caught a foul ball at Camden Yards
-the general craptacularness of the baseball game therein
-getting off at the wrong Light Rail station (does anyone, meaning the father, listen to me? nooooo)
-driving through Tidewater VA (bo-ring)
-going to Colonial Williamsburg (yes, wtf!) and stepping in lots of horse shit before getting lost
-driving by Busch Gardens Williamsburg and NOT going! the one major theme park I actually would like to go to! bah!
-Monday morning traffic in Richmond. geeeeeeeeeeah.
Very Good Things (or at least Moderately Pleasant Things)
-The mother did not actually meet us in Baltimore, she met us in Richmond! Yes, my mother annoys the crap out of me and therefore yes, I am going to the very Detroit-est of all hells. Oh well.
-Baltimore is nice. Me likey.
-The aquarium, albeit sucky (seriously, the aquarium in Chattanooga is much better), did have dolphins and puffins. Dolphins and puffins and dolphins and puffins and dolphins and puffins and a big giant stingray or two or three. Wheeeeee.
-Camden Yards is a nice park. I had the best hot dog I've ever had in my life there. And it hurts me to say that, because I come from a land of good hot dogs. Really.
-Although it was very random that we went to Williamsburg and it was very tourist trap-y, I did get some postcards (finally) and a William and Mary tee shirt, because I felt like it. Hehe.
I think that's about it. My dad has now fulfilled his tourist activities quota for the next four or five years or so.
My head hurts. Hitting it on the car will do that to you. I'm going to go write a survey now, because I thought of lots of burning questions in the car. Have a lovely evening all. :)
