I got my license when I was 18. I didn't own a car until I was 35. And you know what? I STILL don't drive it. The huz does. I'll only drive on road trips. So, I've driven probably not 50 times in my entire life. Unless you live someplace where it's absolutely necessary and the drivers are actually civil, it's no big deal. Take your time, and do it when you're ready.

Thanks Pandionna and Dr. J. Unfortunately, the no-license thing hits the hardest here in the middle of nowhere. Get me the hell out of here! :(

People are always bothering me for the same reason, and it makes me go insane. I have the same sort of reasoning behind why I don't have my license yet as you do. People are so annoying. I mean, unless you offered to drive them somewhere important as soon as you got your license, what the hell should they care whether you have it or not? That's what I figure...

AMEN sistah! My current excuses are that I've only been taken driving 6 times and in drivers ed they take you out like 4 times and the second time is in major city areas...plus we don't have money for that anyway so i'm waiting til I'm 18 and I won't have to take it to get my license which means I have to think of some damn good excuses soon!! it's really quite annoying when you haven't talked to a relative in forever and the first thing they do is make you feel bad for not driving..
