Congrats! Let's see, when I taught oboe lessons, I did one etude book, and assigned those in addition to basic scales. I also snagged one book of moderately easy pieces for sight-reading practice (one piece per lesson) and some graded classical solos, which she worked on one or two of at a time. Good luck to ya!

Ethnomusicology is.... um.... ? Actually, after a month of class, I still have no idea. I don't think ethnomusicologists know exactly what they are studying either.
