Salt Lake City has a decent but extremely under-funded orchestra. (And lots of retail establishments, too...). The skiing is damn good, as well... (I'll even teach you, if you want, because I'm like that!)

Actually, I forgot to add my real comment: I think it is pretty cool that you are going to do the whole grad school thing - in my mind, grad school is a good way of affirming that you could've made something with your life if you had really wanted to! :)
