"There's nothing finer in the land..."
2003-05-05 - 7:32 p.m.

Hehe. An otherwise meh Monday turned wonderful at about 3:45 when the power went out in the entire mally-mall. So, for the last half an hour of my shift, I got paid for standing (and sitting in my comfy Shoetopia chairs) around doing nothing, in the dark. It was great. I even mooched a ride home from someone, hehe. I mean really, what would the point have been sitting around waiting for the bus in the dark?

Anyway, in the morning I managed to part with one of the two pairs of sneakers I bought the day I couldn't decide which to get. I exchanged them for a skirt, four shirts (two workish ones and two cute ones- Bubba Cola and Tiki Hut), and *gasp* a pair of capri pants. Yes. I have joined the ranks of the enemy. I now own a pair of capri pants. But they were so damn cute! And I paid my Sears bill like a good girl today. So it's all good.

Yes. It is good now that I am listening to my old school (1998-1999) marching band CD. Ah yes. "I'm a monkey, and I wanna play the trumpet."

*melts into a puddle of band geekish happiness*

If I win the lottery tomorrow, and promise to donate all of it to my alma mater, can I have the marching band play at my funeral? Or would that be going a little too far? ;)

Really though, to Marching Band, or not to Marching Band at the Grad School? Grad students that aren't grad asses (assistants) having anything to do with marching band? Now that's starting to get a little ridiculous.... or is it? ;)

Ah yes. Still very much a geek.

(And damn proud of it, thankyouverymuch.)

Hehehe. Have a lovely evening everyone. :)
