Saturday, Shit 1, 2003
2003-03-01 - 1:21 p.m.

So. It's March first. Ass is finally over. The loooong month of Shit has begun.

Anyway, my mom is probably getting off a plane in Miami as we speak. She's going on a cruise. Grrr. She gets to go to Puerto Rico! And some other islands. St. Something-or-other and St. Whatever. A cruise! And of course, Shoe Girl is in Australia right now. And where am I? :-P

Work was not so bad today. Nice Electronics Manager actually opened the doors at 8. And then I actually figured out how to use the little computer and went on my merry way looking for stuff to restock. Not that we actually had much of what we needed in the stockrooms, but still. I was all proud of myself. :)

Oh. The chamber orchestra concert last night was not so exciting. Once again, they were playing pieces with only two flute parts, and it was the same two flute players that have been in there all along. The program was kind of meh. There was a Bach piano concerto, and the soloist was very good, but Bach = boring. Sorry. To add boringness to more boringness, they also did the Haydn 104. And the fugue from Ives's fourth symphony. It wasn't even very... Ivesian? I dunno. Generally, it was all very boring. I have fallen asleep during only three concerts- a very boring piano recital, a very boring string quartet concert, and a not boring classical guitar recital that had a great program fully of very nice, soothing music. So that last one was a good kind of falling asleep. Anyway, I never thought I'd actually almost fall asleep during an orchestral concert. Orchestra = not boring. Usually. Orchestra playing Haydn 104 = boring. Yeah. Afterwards, my friend Jenn and I (who I had successfully convinced to go to the concert, amazingly ;) ), went to Mickey D's for shamrock shakes. Good, good, good stuff!

I'm going to shut up about that now, thankfully. Eeeeee! I can't wait till my checks come so I can order my marching band CD! Because I'm a geeeeeeek. Yes.

Oh. Another thing about work. I've noticed that one of Manager Girl's favorite things to say is "Yahoo piggies!" It's very odd.

That's about it for right now. I'm off to my busy day of doing nothing. Bliss.
