There was an orange cat on the roof of the roof of the house across the street. Well I thought it was interesting.

So, here are my favorite members of the clarinet family, in order:

1) bass clarinet

2) the "regular" Bb clarinet

3) contrabass clarinet

4) alto clarinet

5) Eb clarinet

And now, the saxophones:

1) tenor sax

2) alto sax

3) bass sax

4) baritone sax

5) soprano sax

Flutes of course, go in score order:

1) piccolo

2) "regular" C flute

3) alto flute

4) bass flute

(I know other kinds of flutes exist, like a contrabass flute, but I've never seen one, so it doesn't count.)

My favorite double reeds:

1) English horn

2) bassoon

3) contrabassoon

4) oboe ("the black stick of death")

Brass instruments are all lumped together:

1) french horn (the best by far, as it is a traditional part of the woodwind quintet)

2) tuba

3) baritone (thanks mugbug226 :) )

4) trombone

(There are a few other weird kinds of brass instruments. All of them go before the trumpet.)

10?) trumpet (the devil's instrument)

I'm rather indifferent towards strings and percussion so I won't list those. There. That is enough geekishness for the day.
